FAQ

Where do the workshops take place?

The workshops take place at the ODA space, our colorful and welcoming studio in via Marcello Malpighi 8 in Milan. Here, we organize intimate and creative workshops, hosting artists and enthusiasts from all over the world.

In which language do the workshops take place?

All our workshops are held in Italian or English.

Are the objects we create during the course suitable for food?

Not yet! After the first firing process, the clay is still porous and can absorb liquids. If you wish to use your pieces as a vase, small bowl or anything that comes into contact with food, you will need to glaze the piece, that way making it super bright, colorful and resistant!

Can I use your oven to fire some ceramics I made?

Of course! Email us at info@odamilano.com with the following information to determine if your creations will be suitable for Lucifer’s cooking threshold (that’s the name of our oven!):

pictures of the objects you have made
picture of the package of clay you used
picture of the nail polish package you used
your timing (is it urgent or can you wait a few days/weeks?)

Can I book for a group or team of people?

ODA is happy to offer you various exclusive team building experiences, creative activities and workshops for your company. Let us know if you want us to come to you or if you would like to organize the event in our space. Contact us indicating the number of people, the activity you would like to carry out and the period in which you would like to organize it.

Can I purchase a workshop for a friend?

But wow, what a great gift! Our gift cards can be used both for our individual courses or be personalized by you.

You can purchase the gift card on our website or directly at the ODA space in via Malpighi 8.

What should I bring to the workshop?

Nothing specific, just clothes that can possibly get dirty and that make you feel good. There are some special events for which there is a dress code, but nothing serious: for example, on Saturday evening we host a pajama workshop! In any case, we will email you if there are specific things you will need to bring with you for the workshop.

Do you organize special workshops for events or pop ups?

Of course, although in reality each of our workshops is special. We host a workshop and a different artist every week, to promote creativity and innovation. In special periods of the year we also organize a pop up with various artistic creations for sale.

Is it possible to organize private events in your space?

We would be really happy to become the setting for your special event: be it a birthday, a hen party, an anniversary, a family visit from abroad, at ODA any occasion must be celebrated in the best possible way. Book a private session (minimum 9 participants for the evening session, minimum 6 participants for the morning or afternoon) at ODA and enjoy a relaxing, creative, sweet and healthy activity together with your loved ones.

Do you also organize events in other locations?

We want the positive vibes of ODA to reach everywhere in the world. We would therefore be happy to come and visit you in the office, at home or in another location to make and paint ceramics together. We will bring all the materials, prepare what you need to organize the workshop and guide you in a relaxing activity perfect for your team, whether small or large!

Unfortunately, none of the dates I see on the site work for me, can I book a private workshop?

We can organize private workshops with a date and time that suits your schedule, with a minimum of 6 participants. Find out more about our special workshops by sending us an email and we will do our best to accommodate you!

I'm traveling and I'm only in Milan for a short period: can I still participate in a workshop?

Certain! You can join us for our one-shot workshops and we can ship the creations you make directly to your home. Alternatively, you can purchase an ODA Pack that contains all the items you need to make or paint your own pottery, take them home, to the park or to friends and enjoy the creative process, then bring it back for firing. We’ll send your finished items home to you!

What happens if I can't attend the workshop?

We hope this doesn’t happen, but there are always unexpected events. If you are unable to attend the workshop we kindly ask you to let us know as soon as possible. One option would be to find a friend to replace you (by letting us know).

Alternatively, our cancellation policies depend on the remaining days between the notice of your absence and the date of the event as well as on the cost of the course:

Workshops under €65 – Unfortunately we do not offer refunds for these workshops!
All other workshops: Up to 7 working days notice – we are able to refund you 100% of the booking cost, which you can use to rebook at a later date that suits you! 7-4 working days: we are able to refund you 75% of the booking cost. 3-1 working days: we are able to refund you 50% of the booking cost. 24 hours: Unfortunately with only 24 hours notice, we are unable to refund the cost of your booking. We are sure you will understand!

We are sure you understand! As you will already have had the opportunity to see, ODA is an intimate space and we are keen to offer everyone the best possible experience, giving our students the attention and care they deserve.
